چکیده

Process modeling has become an essential aspect of information systems (IS) practice. In line with the increased popularity, a plethora of process modeling techniques has been proposed over time. Yet, despite the proliferation of techniques, only a few have been widely accepted by practitioner communities. However, the long-term viability of a process modeling technique and its eventual success depend on its extensive and continued use by process modelers. While IS researchers have extensively studied the continued acceptance of information systems artifacts, to date, only little research exists that has investigated the issue of process modeling technique continuance. This paper addresses the problem of process modeling technique continuance by identifying from prior research factors that influence the formation of an intention to continue using a process modeling technique and by performing a theoretical integration of appropriate theories of post-adoption behavioral intention. The resulting research model provides an in-depth understanding of a process modeler’s continuance intention.

Application of non-linear regression and soft computing techniques for modeling process of pollutant adsorption from industrial wastewaters

The process of pollutant adsorption from industrial wastewaters is a multivariate problem. This process is affected by many factors including the contact time (T), pH, adsorbent weight (m), and solution concentration (ppm). The main target of this work is to model and evaluate the process of pollutant adsorption from industrial wastewaters using the non-linear multivariate regression and intell...

Investigating electrochemical drilling (ECD) using statistical and soft computing techniques

In the present study, five modeling approaches of RA, MLP, MNN, GFF, and CANFIS were applied so as to estimate the radial overcut values in electrochemical drilling process. For these models, four input variables, namely electrolyte concentration, voltage, initial machining gap, and tool feed rate, were selected. The developed models were evaluated in terms of their prediction capability with m...

PREDICTION OF STATIC SOFTENING OF MICROALLOYED STEEL BY THE INTEGRATION OF FINITE ELEMENT MODEL WITH PHYSICALLY BASED STATE VARIABLE MODEL

Abstract   Recovery and recrystallization phenomena and effects of microalloying elements on these phenomena are of great importance in designing thermomechanical processes of microalloyed steels. Thus, understanding and modeling of microstructure evolution during hot deformation leads to optimize the processing conditions and to improve the product properties.   In this study, finite element...

Modeling for vehicular pollution in urban region; A review

Air pollution is one of the major threats to environment in the present time. Increase in degree of urbanization is a major cause of this air pollution. Due to urbanization, vehicular activities are continuously increasing at a tremendous rate. Mobile or vehicular pollution is predominantly degrading the air quality worldwide. Thus, air quality management is necessary for dealing with this seve...
